Ghosting and Spamming are a given and agree completely. Insulting, I think we could delve into a little more.
If the insult is with the intention of racism or malicious, then that is breaking a rule. Not just a rule, but common sense.
But a lot of players like to "tease" or "make fun" of players, all in good fun. Especially admins + members, they become targets to this.
I don't mind at all when players like to make fun of me as a CT and then say stuff like "command better, noob!" or "ray sucks!" but I know they're just playing a long with the rebel terrorists, like I said, it's all in good fun. The nature of terrorists is to be vile and sneering towards the commanders/CTs so this sort of "insult" is expected.
Of course, there is a line and being members/admins, we are representatives of the community so it'd be within our well-being and the community's to choose when approriate to warn or use powers. But to be honest though, if someone is getting on your nerves or pissing you off, it'd be much better to say, "look, please stop, it's not funny anymore" rather then kicking them from the server. If that's the case, we may find ourselves with an empty jailbreak server. Kicking, while it may seem small or insignificant to a member or admin, can cause unneccessary grief for the person being kicked. If we can't play with a respect on the server and just kick everyone who pisses us off, then we're going against helping develop the server, and instead, decline it.
We are members/admins, so long as we keep the server fun and friendly, people will continue to play with us. If you can avoid the conflict of kicking someone, then do so. The respect gained from talking out the problem with a player far outstrips the grief of kicking someone. Like I said, if we become trigger happy with our kicking, we may find ourselves with an empty server.
Respect.
